For the short film Chasing Reality, I worked as the editor, colorist and VFX artist. This project provided me with an opportunity to expand my skill set, as I had to utilize the puppet tool to digitally replace a painting. The entire painting in the footage is fake. It’s covering up stretch fabric that the actress was behind. To ensure a seamless integration of the new element, we placed tracking markers around the hole for the actress’s hand to facilitate accurate tracking and linking of the painting. The final result is a visually stunning image that appears both effortless and natural.
